Officer Marty Eberhart has proudly served the City of Barberton Police Department for 20 years. Currently in his sixth year as a School Resource Officer for Barberton City Schools, he is dedicated to maintaining a safe and positive environment for students. Officer Eberhart is a seasoned member of the Barberton SWAT team, with 11 years of tactical experience, and is also a Certified Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Officer for Summit County.
Officer Eberhart also serves as the Public Information Officer for the Barberton Police Department and is a skilled instructor in Mobile Field Force tactics, Less Lethal techniques, and Chemical Munitions. He is an ALICE-trained instructor, helping schools and organizations prepare for active shooter situations. Officer Eberhart is a proud graduate of Barberton High School, deeply connected to his community.

Officer Steve Coburn has dedicated 25 years to the City of Barberton Police Department, where he has cultivated a diverse and distinguished career. A Certified Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) Officer for Summit County, he is also a highly trained Crisis and Hostage Negotiator. Officer Coburn's extensive experience includes serving in both the Patrol and Detective Bureaus, with a focus on Sexual Assault Investigations. He has been a member of the Barberton SWAT team for 15 years, specializing as a Sniper/Operator.
As a Field Training Officer (FTO), Officer Coburn mentors new recruits, and his expertise extends to working with the Internet Crimes Against Children (I.C.A.C.) task force. He is also a key member of the Sexual Assault Response Team (S.A.R.T.) and serves as an instructor in Handgun and Assault Rifle tactics. A proud Barberton High School graduate, Officer Coburn furthered his education at the University of Akron, earning a degree in Criminal Justice. He continues to pursue advanced training in Emergency Management and Homeland Security.
