Over 40 years ago, Barberton School, Nurse Esther Ryan, noticed several children taking turns wearing one pair of tennis shoes for gym class. Other children did not have adequate shoes to wear to school. She started a project from the trunk of her car to help them. Qualifying for shoe fund assistance is conducted through the Barberton City Schools nurse. The Magic City Kiwanis / Esther Ryan Shoe Program continues. See below for an Application.
