Stay connected with your HS coach as they begin to pass on information to their student-athletes that will be enrolled in the BCSD for 2020-21 school year (Grades 7 – 12). We have tentatively set the date of Monday, June 8, 2020 for the beginning of summer activities (with restrictions including small group numbers, social distancing, the wearing of masks, etc.).  It is important that we follow these guidelines to have a safe return to activities that will be done in three phases.  Monday, June 8, 2020 will be the beginning of Phase One for the BCSD.

ALL HS and MS Sport Contact Information can be found  HERE  to get prepared for what the PLAN is for the BCSD (article on May 22, 2002 on barbertonmagics.org).   MS student-athletes should contact the HS coach of their sport and/or the MS Faculty Manger Mr. Jordan Hardwick ([email protected]) for any additional information.

If you are participating in a Fall Sport this upcoming school year, here is the 2020-21 Fall Sport Contact Information for HS head coaches.

All Student-Athletes that are going to be participating with their team beginning on June 8, 2020 must fill out the attached BCSD COVID 19 Waiver and bring it with them to their first activity.  This needs to be signed and dated by the student-athlete and parent/guardian in order to participate in activities.   Coaches of each program are assigning the groupings for their teams which will be eight or less per group in Phase One.  Student-Athletes should only show up on the day and time that their coach has assigned to them.

Students will also be asked to have their own water (no sharing) and mask as well as practice all other safety measures as recommended by the CDC and the Ohio Department of Health.  Social distancing should be practiced at all times. Coaches will be passing on more specific information on where to meet, days and times and other specifics depending on where and what they will be doing.  They will also let their teams know where to enter and exit.  Locker-Rooms will not be available till the start of Fall Practices.

IF A STUDENT-ATHLETE HAS ANY SYMPTOMS OF THE CORONAVIRUS, THE STUDENT SHOULD NOT REPORT TO THEIR ACTIVITY.  AFTER INFORMING THEIR FAMILY MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL,  THEY SHOULD LET THEIR COACH KNOW OF THEIR SYMPTOMS AS WELL.

Regardless of what sport or activity that you are involved in, students are asked to go home immediately after their activity and practice all CDC recommendations.
