5/20: BHS Graduation Plan

Graduation Class of 2020

Congratulations, you made it! Here is your last set of instructions - for graduation.

•The graduate and up to five guests will be permitted into the building for graduation.
•Graduates and families are expected to park in the rear of the building between the high school and stadium.
•Graduates will come to the E5 doors (by the Hall of Fame) no more than 15 minutes prior to their time. They will be met by a staff member who will direct them to the side door of the theater.
•Graduates will be “On Deck” outside of the theater doors no more than 10 minutes before their time. A BCSD staff member at that door will ensure we have the graduate’s announcement form filled out and the diploma is ready.
Graduates and guests will enter the theater. Graduates will walk across the stage when their name and 3E pathway is read.
•The graduate will pick up their diploma and head to an additional photography site. Guests will be allowed to take photographs, record, or Facetime the proceedings.
We ask that you do not use flash photography as it will distort your student’s recording. We ask that you do not scream and holler as students walk as this is being recorded. You will want to hear their name during the playing of the video.
•Graduates will exit out the west rear of the theater. There will be an additional backdrop set up for use by family members. Families cannot loiter or hangout within the building as the District needs to adhere to the ODH guidelines for gatherings.
•Graduates will leave the building. We ask that families not congregate or gather in the parking lot and follow all social distancing and safety protocols. BCSD staff members will be there to help ensure safety guidelines are in place.

•The professional photographer will take one still photograph of the graduate and BHS will purchase one complimentary 5x7 of the graduate for each family. You may purchase additional photographs through the photographer. The recording will be edited with speeches, tassel ceremony, pomp and circumstance, and a link will be posted to the District website. The District hopes to premier the video June 26, 2020 at 7 PM. Family members and students may download the recording for their future enjoyment.
•You will be contacted at a later time to pick up the free 5x7 photo.
