Memorial has an active PTA. They help provide a Science program called Cosi on Wheels. They host Santa's Workshop, Shamrock Hop, Grandparents week/Book Fair. They are a vital source of support and encouragement for our students. We encourage all parents to join, support, and participate in the PTA.
Along with our dedicated parents, teachers and staff at Memorial plan events throughout the school year to enhance the learning in the classrooms. They have activities such as Family Math Night, Drug Awareness Week, assemblies, Family Movie Night, and field trips to name just a few.
There are many programs students can participate in during the school year. Students can be elected to Student Council. They can join Safety Patrol, become Produce Managers, Flag Patrol, Destination Imagination, and many others.
Memorial has received the Fruit and Vegetable Grant from the State of Ohio. Each day students can choose fresh fruit or vegetables for an afternoon snack. We have also partnered with the University of Akron to bring college students in the help teach students about good nutrition and staying active.
